Bosnian Potato Pie Easy Way

Okay, Bosnian Potato Pie (Krumpirusa) is something else!

It takes a lot of love and patience to be made properly. The filo pastry is homemade, takes a lot of time and practice to learn how to make it. And it's one of the most amazing things I had ever eaten.

I made it many times, but usually with ready filo pastry, just because I didn't have enough time.

And I always feel as if I'm committing one of seven deadly sins, taking this shortcut with ready filo pastry.

But it's less time consuming and gives me time to focus on other things that need to be cooked that day.

So here is how to make Bosnian potato pie easy way.

Ingredients:

1 kilo potato

2 medium size onions

Garlic, 2 cloves

Salt and pepper for seasoning

5 grams thyme, fresh leaves

Oil

400 grams filo pastry

Grate potatoes on the grater in one bowl, than do the same with onion and garlic, season with salt and pepper add thyme and than mix it all together.

Spread the filo pastry, two layers, on the working surface, grease it with some oil or and than grab the potato mixture with your hands, squeeze the juice out and spread it over the filo pastry and than roll it inward.

Transfer on baking tray and bake in preheated oven on 190 ° C for 15 minutes, until golden on top, than lower the heat to 170 degrees and bake for additional 10 minutes.

Wait for it to cool down, cut in pieces and serve!

Bon Apetit!
